About our accounting practice

As chartered accountants in Bristol, our aim is to provide you with down-to-earth financial advice to help you organise and plan your future. The senior partner, Phil Evans, together with their team, specialise in helping small- to medium-sized businesses accelerate growth.

Phil Evans, FCA

Phil trained at Coopers & Lybrand (now Pricewaterhouse Coopers) in Bristol. He left in 1990 to form Lloyd Evans in partnership with David Lloyd. In 2004, the practice won the Institute of Chartered Accountants for England & Wales’ award for the Best Chartered Accountant in Professional Accountancy Practice in the South West.
When David Lloyd retired in 2006, Phil formed PJE Chartered Accountants Bristol.

Phil is a tennis fanatic. He is Chair of the Wiltshire Lawn Tennis Association and a Councillor for the National Lawn Tennis Association. He is also a Trustee for the Hutchins Owen Trust, which raises funds to enable children, who might not otherwise have the opportunity, to learn to play tennis.

The rest of the team

A dedicated team of ten people work behind the scenes to prepare accounts, fill in forms, file paperwork with the relevant authorities, sort PAYE and do the bookkeeping. While they may talk to you from time to time regarding an aspect of your accounts they are working on, Phil will always be your main point of contact.
